Santa Nella Motel 6

We thought our first motel was bad, but it had nothing on the one we stayed in last night! Located in the middle of bum-fuck-nowhere, the nearby restaurants were a diner that was out of everything and a truck stop with cold taquitos. Our first motel may have had crappy toiletries, but this one had none. All we got was a tiny bar of soap and a half-used roll of toilet paper.

That said, it’s the first time we’d arrived at our accommodations before nightfall; it was warm; and we were that much closer to where we’re going. So, we’re in good spirits. We had a decent night of rest, and hot, running water in the morning.  For $75 I wouldn’t stay again, but if I did I might take advantage of the pool and hot tub.

Now, onwards to Los Angeles.
